Shout Out!

This is a SHOUT OUT for Juri's parents!  Where are you?!?!  This little guy has waited and waited and waited and each day spent in the orphanage in Ukraine is one less day without his family!  We have been praying for him on a daily basis for countless months.  Still he waits with the other 147 MILLION orphans worldwide for someone to call him their own.

Juri was seen earlier this month by a family adopting two girls from his group.  They said they would have taken him home without hesitation had they been allowed to adopt more than the two!  He is said to be strong and very motivated to walk.  Chances are with surgery or possibly even just with physical therapy and leg braces this guy will be running around in circles in no time.

He is known to crawl all over the place so don't think his cerebral palsy that is only affecting his legs stops this guy!  He can walk in a walker but is not getting physical therapy or any appropriate care therefore he has not been able to progress.  He is bright and sharp with quick comments and is known for telling jokes and being quite the jokster!

Juri has $1976.50 in his grant fund!  That is $31.50 since the last time I shouted out for him, so it has grown slightly.  That is a small dent in the $20,000 it will take to bring him home however he has a strong support group willing to jump in and help fundraise for his forever family.  Most donors don't donate until a family has committed to the child so who knows who else is out there just waiting for a family so they can sow into bring this guy home!

So where are you?!?!?  I'm sure someone has an extra place at their dinner table to welcome one of the least of these.  Amazing he is still waiting seeing that his needs are so minor and likely fixable.  He is mentally on target so will be in mainstream classes with his peers and with proper medical attention when he gets home will grow up to be a normal American boy!  He is too cute, too intelligent, too loving, and above all too worthy of a family to still be waiting.  I guess it will be true that those who wait only get the best because only the best will do for Juri :)
