One year ago today a little baby girl was born in the early afternoon
unbeknownst to us. Her eyes opened for the first time as she took in
this new world. My husband
nor I were her first sight nor did our arms wrap around this new bundle
of joy during her first precious moments of life. Little did we know
this baby girl had taken her first breathes let alone known of her
existence only miles away from us. Only one person can remember that
exact moment and claim it as their sole experience. It is our hope and
prayer she forever treasures those first fleeting hours of this baby
girls life as it is nothing anyone can ever take away from her. This
little bundle of joy, your story has not gone unwritten. I firmly
believe that God had a plan for you. He purposely knit you together in
your birth mothers womb for 9 months just as He knew 5 days later you
would be knit into our family. Out of these ashes and ill
circumstances, beauty would rise. We didn't give you the gift of life,
but we surely were given the gift of seeing your life unfold over your
first momentous year. Little lady, you are so cherished and loved!

Birthday Bonanza!
We have been busy partying it up with all the birthdays lately! Both N and E's (yes I am no longer referring to her as Baby E since she's days away from being a year old!) birthdays are only a month and a day apart therefore it seems like we've been eating a lot of cake lately! We decided to do a combined birthday party for the two. It saved grammy and the great grandparents from having to come up twice from Pittsburgh back to back and made it easier on us for planning. We still did cake on N's real day of birth and E will be getting her cake on her birthday later this week. We are so beyond blessed with such a supportive group of family and friends that shower our children and us with so much love and endless support. It is astounding to us how thoughtful each and every one of you are and how special you treat our children. Our three kids truly are loved beyond measure....and we have photographic evidence below to prove it :)
