Check out the Before Pictures
Boring Yellow Bland Walls
Old Discolored Carpeting
Once we cleared the room the FUN BEGAN!
Paint started to go up on the walls!
New ceiling fan installed....not originally planned to change it, however, lets just say a SITUATION occurred....
No not this SITUATION.....a ceiling roller SITUATION happened to smash off a ceiling fan blade to smithereens so a new modern fan it was!
We're Bringing Stencil Back, them other paints don't know how to act! Yes that's right, we brought the stencil back! After going to every hardware, painting, and craft store and being told countless times "No one uses stencils anymore" my mom scored a find at Michael's Craft store with several nice size stencils....so if you wish to bring the stencil back like we did, now you know where to go! With the help of my sister Elise we stenciled with silver metallic craft paint a whole accent wall.
It was tedious but ohhhh so worth it!
and an extreme scrubbing of the floors and VOILA beautiful original hardwood floors
.....FO FREE!!!!!
Now DRUM ROLL PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
(Insert OHHHH's and AHHHHH's)
Moved the furniture around a bit making the room feel so much larger!
The entrance walking in....yes Mr. Levi has graduated out of using a cage any more, however Mr. Meeko is nowhere near being able to be without supervision for more than....well 2 milliseconds!
Wall mounted tv (still have to hide the wire) moved and installed and the Thomas Kinkade painting and dresser returned to their almost original spots
Added some accents such as these AWESOME lamp finds! Did not plan on buying lamps after finding they run about $50-$100 EACH....yes ridiculously priced items! Scored the perfect colored and patterned light shades on clearance for $3.25 each and the lamp bases each $8 for a whopping $22.50.....can you say SCORE?!?!
On top of the lamp score....the silver metallic stenciled accent wall turned out perfect!
Depending on where you stand and move side to side no angle is the same as it shimmers and shines....yes I'm easily amused!
It was a major remodel SUCCESS!
